What is Char’s Web?

Hi, I’m Char. I’m a writer, coach, cofounder of CANDID and Reading Rhythms, dinner party host, and my boyfriend’s private chef.

Caught Up in Char’s Web is a newsletter for people who are ready to come home to themselves. It’s for high-achievers who know how to push through but are still learning how to let go. People who are great at willpower but not always great at freedom. People who’ve built strong lives but are starting to ask, wait, whose life is this? Is this really what I want?

We are so free we can create our own bondage. This space is about setting ourselves free.

I write about:

• Rewiring your relationship to validation and fulfillment

• Creative expression as a way to feel more alive and more like yourself

• Identity shifts, especially in the liminal seasons between who you’ve been and who you’re becoming

• Body image, identity shifts, and the urge to prove yourself

• Letting go of perfectionism and learning to create for connection, not approval

• Building a life that reflects your values, not your coping patterns

• Rituals, friendships, and the small moments that tether us to meaning

This isn’t just for people in transition. It’s for people who want to live with more honesty and intention. People who are done performing and ready to feel more like themselves.

When I’m not writing, I coach people through this exact process: making space for what matters, shifting out of old patterns, and stepping into a version of themselves that feels real. The goal isn’t reinvention. It’s alignment.
